About Adam Metal Products
Adam Metal Products Company began operations in 1948 with George Adam Buttinghausen as owner and president. The initial products produced were canopies and a very small line of fluorescent light fixture housings. Our first building was a modified chicken coop on a highway store front. By 1976 the business was sold to Raymond Bentley, who was the owner until 2017. Ray grew the company tenfold and moved us to our present 95,000 square foot building on an eleven and one half acre site in Ledgewood, NJ. Asha Shah, whom worked alongside of Ray for 38 years, is our current owner. Asha is carrying on Ray’s wish to keep the company open and operating here in Ledgewood.
Adam Metal Products Company is dedicated to the design and production of high quality LED lighting fixture housings with emphasis on energy saving residential and commercial products. Our high quality line includes visually pleasing custom architectural linear fixtures, decorative wall mount and vanities, under-cabinet fixtures, task, strips and proprietary fixtures. We utilize modern LED boards and LED lamping, as well as keep our fixtures compatible with T8 and T5 lamping options.
Our staff includes in-house engineering, CNC turret and press brake programming, tool design, tool and die makers, and many long term production employees. Our engineering department utilizes the most up to date version of PTC’s Creo Parametric (Pro/Engineer) software, which allows us to turn your ideas into interactive 3D models. These models are converted to blueprints, and ultimately machined into your final product.
Adam Metal’s staff averages over 25 years with the company. Our in-house engineering and tool room enable us to offer complete flexibility for modifications of our standard product line to individual customer requirements. Our CNC equipment provides a basis for very competitive quotes for custom designed lighting encompassing a tremendous variety of configurations and sizes. Changes in dimensions, physical features, finishes, and the use of aluminum are available. We also have an extensive roll forming department with over fifteen heavy duty high speed production lines.
